One of my best friends ever. We went to school together. Picked up girls together. Fought together. We laughed together and cried together.
Photo was taken in "Pinki", public pool in Zemun, Belgrade. It's a place where Roland is swimming every single morning, ever since he moved back after many years of life in NYC. It's the custom he got used to after his heart operation, when he was urgently placed on the operation table in New York - Presbyterian Hospital back in May 2002. They have made a bypass on his heart after the complication he had. He was only 28 year old when it happened.
Now, you can really hear his heart beating but together with that sound we realize how important the life is! And we can still laugh and if needed cry together.
